The Goat Conversation NBA

Today I saw a video from a reporter and analyst that I’ve respected for a long time, but then I realized that when it comes to ratingis, posts, news and clip views, clicks and likes, they will say the most aberrant things just to get a few more, because in sports news like in any other “industry” (if you can call it that) money is king. Windhorst (Or Windy as he is known in ESPN) says that he disagrees with the opion that Charles Barkely has about LeFlop, the argument that Barkley makes is that LeFlop has not as many championships as Kobe or Jordan. Then Windy goes on to say that he hates that the NBA is counting number of championships and he says that LeFlop has a legacy that’s already established.

Since when did we decide that the number of championships won by an NBA player is not one of the most important metrics to determine his impact in the game? Since where we are not counting the winning porcentage? Since when are we looking into the number of seasons played by a player instead of the number of complete games played in a season by a player? For example, yes, LeFlop has more seaons played that The Real GOAT MJ, but look for this info, how many 82 games seasons has LeFLop played? I’ll spare you the waste of time, LeFlop only played the full 82 games one time, yes you read it correctly, ONLY ONE TIME 23 years, in comparisson, The Real GOAT MJ did it 9 years out of 15 in his carreer.

Numbers don’t lie and the killing gene does not lie at all. So next time when you want to say an aberrant thing that goes near of naming LeFlop the best nba player, think twice and see how much time he has spent in a basketball floor to earn the titles he has.

Another good metric, is to measure how fast you learn something and master it. Of course, we all can spend 23 years doing something and then master it, but what about turning yourself as a master of something just after 6-7 years? There is a lot of difference between 7 and 23. Jordan won his first NBA title in year 7, LeFLop in year 9, and by then LeFlop had already fled Cleveland and went to play in Miami looking for somebody that already had experience winning an NBA title, this somebody was Dwyane Wade.
